Whose life are you living?

This is not just my story. This is the story of most of the people out there. We are told a lie at a very tender age, study properly in your school and college will be a cakewalk. When you finally enter college with a bag load of expectations and hope, you realise it is not the cakewalk it was promised to be.  You endure , not that you had a choice, but you do it no matter what. Work hard and get a job. Everyone assures you, “ Your life is now set. You will live happily ever after ”. Do we? We join our new job with a new set of expectations about being employed, doing the job we love, living the live we always wanted. An office with a beautiful view, wonderful colleagues with whom you get to collaborate and create magic. How many of these dreams comes true? Within a few days you realise, this is not the glorious beautiful world you wanted to be in. Some how you have entered a rat race which doesn’t have an exit. So you keep running, harder, pushing yourself to the limits ever...

Is Jarvis the future? Should Jarvis be the future?

We have seen all the fancy Iron Man movies where the bossy Tony Stark comes and instructs his ever obedient Artificial Intelligence Jarvis to prepare his suit! Well now with Mark Zuckerberg coming and introducing his Morgan Freeman voiced Jarvis to the world, it begs the question. Should AI become the future? Do we really need an AI to get along. Let us analyse the impact it is likely to have on our lives. 1. It is likely to make us more lazy. Yes even lazier than we are now. Facebook has done enough damage. It has curbed our social networking to posting a few pics, garnering likes and chatting with a bunch of close friends. When was the last time you actually picked up the phone and called a friend to have coffee or dinner? Or just to check how he/she is doing. Yes FB has already screwed us up pretty badly on this front 2. Reduce our breakfast to some bread toast and oats? Ever heard of Dosas? Or tasty food that that tickles your taste buds, well convenience comes at a co...

Google : Introducing Google Pixel

Just came across the ad of this wonderful phone named Google Pixel. Google seems all set for a revolution, after introducing their first phone. All that is left for them is to launch a laptop/palmtop version to compete with Apple. This is in addition to the dominance in the web search department where Apple doesn't exist. If Google is able to succeed in the mobile market that would pave way to attempt forays into other new departments. I am sure innovation is underway at the Google HQ as we speak. I have always been a fan of the Google based Android backed smartphones. These phones now form over 80% of all smartphones in the market. Source: Business Insider As it can be clearly observed, the Android has grown over the years overthrowing all the other existing operating systems. In fact one of the main reasons for the decline of Nokia, which was the best phone maker in the world. The inability to adapt to newer technology. They stuck too long with the Symbian OS hoping it would...
