Batman Fan!

A Jobless Day at Office

As per my previous post this was supposd to be my next post title, but would you mind if I told you that I fooled you? Actually its not that I wanted to, but just that I felt my present state is not right to put a blog post about my work. It needs some sedimentation. Its kindof stirred, not being a guy who has serious loads of experience I doubt if the sedimentation I want will ever occur? Atleast from many others' opinion it will remained stirred forever. Now this reminds me of something, a post I saw somewhere, it was in some way motivating, given the fact that it is good to know that you are not alone. The post read like this,

"Do you know there is an association for people who hate their job??
..
..
..
Its called 'Everyone'! "

Somehow at this very instant of time it seems to make sense.

Where did we start and we are we at present?
In life, I believe at times it is good to take a break, to pause, to think, to introspect. Ok no more "Gyan" I'm sure you got the idea!

Apart from the more philosophical things, that line makes more sense in the current situation. We started with Batman and now we are lost.

So, it all began when one day in office we had a meeting with the CEO of our company(He is still my CEO!) and that day was very special, it was the day before release of TDKR. people who follow batman would know what it means, for the others, its The Dark Knight Rises. It was one of the most anticipated movies of the decade, I can remember a guy next to me saying that. Just to make my background regarding this topic clear, well I had missed the bus for The Dark Knight. Yes, when the whole world was celebrating Joker and the death of Heath Ledgr, it was nothing but news to me. As a matter of fact, even when all my friends went for TDKR, I skipped it just like that! But it was then that I thought that even I used to be a batman fan once...

Once..

When I was a kid, and yes I am one of those kids in the 90's. I used to have Cartoon Network at home and yes, my childhood was awesome.

Bruce Wayne was an idol for me. It was one of those cartoons I used to love. And yes, I knew who Joker was, so I thought I'd give 'The Dark Knight' a try. Well, I tried and realised that this was one of the movies I had seen bits and pieces of, while randomly surfing through TV channels, in HBO. Trust me when I say, at that time I had no idea who Mr. Nolam, who Mr. Bale is, and so on. But after watching the whole movie I fell in love with it.

And it is one of those wierd traits of my character, I takes me so much of effort to sit and watch a movie, but if I love it, I watch the scenes of the movie, a thousand times and for no specific reason. So it was, in Aug, 2012 'The Dark Knight' I kept on watching the movie everyday without getting bored. But after that month, batman fever in me died down and I stopped as I had more serious issues in life to take care of.

May, 2013.

This again is a period which I do not wish to classify as good or bad. Lets just say that I had time to watch 'The Dark Knight Rises'. Not impressed. Nothing can beat 'The Dark Knight'

Quora is invading our lives. Quora, quora everywhere. Atleast in office where everything is blocked except Linkedin and Quora. Quora is more fun than Linkedin. So I came across this article while randomly surfing Quora about TDKR. It was about some flaws in the movie and all. No, I won't be explaining all the flaws in this post. For that you have Quora.

But maybe to just justify, I can say about one flaw I remember. The robbers at the stock exchange get into the tunnel when it is broad daylight. Then batman comes and when they emerge, its dark everywhere. Maybe the tunnel was 100 miles long. But again you may say, what if there was daylight at 5:30pm and it suddently became dark at 5:45 pm and all, well go check that article out, it had some more explanation.

So now where was I, ya so after I saw that post, I felt that I had not properly seen the full movie, but skipped some scenes and saw it here and there. Finally one fine saturday morning, I sat and watched the full movie, I was impressed. Atleast the part where Bruce gets back to life and the ending where Alfred sees Bruce and Selina having coffee. Nowadays I'm watching scenes where Bruce makes his first appearance. And must say Christian Bale has done a fanatstic job as Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Doing this alone wont make me call myself a batman fan, but now I've started watching the old Batman Beyond series even. The one with the new Batman and Bruce Wayne as an old guy. Yea that! In addition to that, I have started watching videos of the game Batman:Arkham City and all, which was kindof boring.

Ok title justified, so I think this article also should come to an abrupt ending.
Take care folks..
And my next post would also be coming soon...carry the necessary armour required for protection!

Random thoughts !!

Maybe because of the fact that all my days are truly boring and non eventful, maybe not, i dont know( i am good at coming up with excuses) that i refrain from posting in daily. Life as usual is truly hectic and not easy to describe the complex functionalities of the daily life, which can't be given a vivid description, but i assure you, survival is most difficult and what all things we do to just move is absolutely amzing and stunning, right from pleasing our teachers and doing assignments to the ever perilous task of explaining why your late for class, and coming up with new innovative excuses every morning does constitute a major chunk of our college life. And unlike the old days, when people used to say that college life is the best part ( still hear it a lot), i find it a struggle to merely move on, i mean the only real time we have is used up for finishing off daily chores and mugging for the next day, and you wouldn't believe it, there are teachers who actually punish yo...

The blog post!

To start with, I think I should justify the heading, the title post, well, this is again one of those blog posts I'm putting in after a very very long time in which a lot of wonderful and not so wonderful things have happened in my life. Well thats why its called "The blog post!" One of the books I have been recently reading is Sidin Vadukut's Who let the dork out?. About the book and all, its quite funny and interesting and it was more interesting for me as was written by a malayali. Some words randomly thrown here and there did make some sense to me! The sad part is that well, in between I got lazy and still have around 50 pages towards the climax. This trait of my character that I identified is that I do not like to dive deep into anything. I might find something interesting and trust me, I dont even start with anything if I dont find it very interesting.I get the plot then I leave. Its too difficult to keep my interest pinned onto something. But these days ...

Reactive Powder Concrete

This was my topic for paper presentation ever since S3 and is tied to an array of memories. It all started in first year when a senior told me about presentations and how he had used that money to purchase an ipod. It wasnt the prospect of getting an ipod but the fact that platforms were open to display of talent that made me think seriously about this. And the perfect venue was open at Aavishkar, a tech fest conducted by CET when i was in S3. Me and my classmate Vivek formed a partnership and performed, we came out with 1st. Must admit the fact that both of us did considerable good work in presenting that paper. This was followed by a series of other fests in which i got 1st for the paper. It truly was a lucky paper. But some time recently it seems that its run outta luck. Well, basically i believe its because of my mindset. I must admit the fact that im tired of presenting the same thing over and over again. So at this juncture as i refrain from presenting this topic any further, I ...
