Another fine day

As the title suggests, you might be expecting a day with bright sunlight around, mild breeze brushing through your hair, trees swaying in delight and some things like that. Ok, I admit, I was never too good at things like these. Describing nature and all, reminds me of a book I had for class X named The Village by the Sea, written by Anita Desai if I remember right. Well more than the actual storyline what I remember is the fantastic description of nature, a bit boring at times, though it was an awesome book overall. So as I was saying, you might be expecting all this, but not quite the "scene" here, its raining, and heavily at that, cats and dogs or whatever you like to call it. But the mornings are ok, atleast the 20 minutes I take from home to office. The weather is pleasant and there is a huge gush of air towards the entrance of my office, which is quite refreshing. What are the drawbacks of not reviewing an article before publishing? Well quite a lot, grammar, spe...

Batman Fan!

A Jobless Day at Office As per my previous post this was supposd to be my next post title, but would you mind if I told you that I fooled you? Actually its not that I wanted to, but just that I felt my present state is not right to put a blog post about my work. It needs some sedimentation. Its kindof stirred, not being a guy who has serious loads of experience I doubt if the sedimentation I want will ever occur? Atleast from many others' opinion it will remained stirred forever. Now this reminds me of something, a post I saw somewhere, it was in some way motivating, given the fact that it is good to know that you are not alone. The post read like this, "Do you know there is an association for people who hate their job??   .. .. .. Its called 'Everyone'! " Somehow at this very instant of time it seems to make sense. Where did we start and we are we at present? In life, I believe at times it is good to take a break, to pause, to think, to introspect. ...

The blog post!

To start with, I think I should justify the heading, the title post, well, this is again one of those blog posts I'm putting in after a very very long time in which a lot of wonderful and not so wonderful things have happened in my life. Well thats why its called "The blog post!" One of the books I have been recently reading is Sidin Vadukut's Who let the dork out?. About the book and all, its quite funny and interesting and it was more interesting for me as was written by a malayali. Some words randomly thrown here and there did make some sense to me! The sad part is that well, in between I got lazy and still have around 50 pages towards the climax. This trait of my character that I identified is that I do not like to dive deep into anything. I might find something interesting and trust me, I dont even start with anything if I dont find it very interesting.I get the plot then I leave. Its too difficult to keep my interest pinned onto something. But these days ...

Semester 7

Yes, yet again here I am on a fine evening(err..well, ya night!) sitting in front of the computer, Blogger website switched on in front of me and typing in random things to bore everyone. Yes it seems im doing what i am good at! Sigh! Ok, must admit my fellow CETians blog has always inspired me to come up with my own 'versions' of life ! Presently in my final year, i always knew that though i might to not appear extravagant in person I was good enough to get a job. Well, indeed proved that fact :D Crux of the matter, I got placed in Mu-Sigma :) 1st time Im announcing it in the cyber world! Well regarding college, well it wasn't exactly the best semester especially with teachers getting on your nerve(or atleast trying to do so!) and yes long boring uninteresting classes! Seminar experience: Ok just as i say this, you would be criticizing me for the construction errors and spelling mistakes( NO! I got spell check :P nice try!) They are aware about certain things regarding a...

Reactive Powder Concrete

This was my topic for paper presentation ever since S3 and is tied to an array of memories. It all started in first year when a senior told me about presentations and how he had used that money to purchase an ipod. It wasnt the prospect of getting an ipod but the fact that platforms were open to display of talent that made me think seriously about this. And the perfect venue was open at Aavishkar, a tech fest conducted by CET when i was in S3. Me and my classmate Vivek formed a partnership and performed, we came out with 1st. Must admit the fact that both of us did considerable good work in presenting that paper. This was followed by a series of other fests in which i got 1st for the paper. It truly was a lucky paper. But some time recently it seems that its run outta luck. Well, basically i believe its because of my mindset. I must admit the fact that im tired of presenting the same thing over and over again. So at this juncture as i refrain from presenting this topic any further, I ...

March 2011

As usual, im starting with the cliched monotonous words: "Havent blogged in a long time, hence this fine morning i decided to pull myself together to sit, think and write a blog post". Ok, with that i believe ive done the initial formality of providing a Prologue to this entry. Im silly, i know !! Anyway what truly inspires me to write this post is my friends blog, which kindof provided me an insight into his thoughts and activities. I met this guy in college and he is my friend mainly because of the fact that we more or less experience the same things on a daily basis, and even our study timings were weird and similar. Saw a movie by the name Varanam Aayiram this week. It is said to have received many critical acclaims and i truly feel the movie deserves it. Not a movie of the contemporary style with action, masala and romance, yet caters to the audience. It reflects the various stages of life of a father and son, the bond they share between them, the tragedies that one may ...

Practicals...!!

As usual, this is a post after a rather long time, owning to the fact that i do not get time to sit, think and type at the same time due to lack of time. Just had my S3 survey practical yesterday and with that done, S3 is all wrapped up(hopefully) though in order to confirm it we have to anxiously await the results which will be arriving shortly. Yes, and yesterday morning, well i was tensed, come to analyse, its pretty interesting. The first time I had to do practicals was back at school, in my 9th standard i believe, where we used to have chemistry and physics practicals, I must admit I was never all that impressed by those, maybe because of the sole reason that all the things we did were pretty inefficient. Anyway I dint have a practical exam back then, so we used to consider lab hours as free hours, nd have a gala time. But slowly as we entered the 11th standard, we realised the reality, that we had to give an exam at the end of 12th. I was least bothered initially, but slowly rea...
